Heres a video from nasa showing exactly how they are planning on getting Curiosity to the surface of Mars. Seems a little to complex like many things can go wrong. Will it be a huge sucess or a 2.5 billion dollar pile of litter on the red planet?

  Yes, in the 60's we got Tang! In the 70's we got Teflon frying pans! Since then what? I mean besides GPS, LED treatment for injuries and some components of my hand computer (cell phone) that is better than any Star Trek communication device? Cutting NASA's budget would be suicidal

If you have to use a fucking parachute to land on the surface, I say this mission is doomed :) Jokes aside, I am sure we, the ordinary folks, will be the first ones to know, if they find signs or proof of life.

    no, no, as soon as they discover anything, they will make sure that the average joe is fully informed with the right memos and everything... nothing to worry about... these NASA boys are on our side...
