  A rabbit punch is a blow landed behind the ears otherwise known as a punch to the back of the head. Not allowed in boxing because they can't be defended against and worse still cause blood clots and very likely serious injury including death. What he did is called ground and pound without a straddle. Just wanted to mark up his face probably because he though he got off lucky with only one shot.
