I watched a biker sale over 4 lanes of traffic and land in the woods in a puddle (he was the puddle). He was moving at about 160mph running from the cops. They had called the chase of several miles ago. He smacked into the back of a Pontiac Aztec. The bike was complete gone. That makes you think about riding... +1 reply

- When I took my motorcycle safety course, I was taught that 90 percent of all potential collision threats would come from within the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions in your field of view. I had so many close calls with people pulling out in front of me the first year. I got rid of the bike, but I sure do miss it. I know someone who died that way - took off from the lights hard and someone turned in front of him cos they didnt understand a big bike can get up to 80kph in the blink of an eye. Thats why when I rode, I rode like an old granny - be predictable, thats what its all about. reply
