The Japanese mindset is culturally fashioned in such a way that they can compartmentalise different aspects of their mind. Hence, you can have a perfectly respectable Japanese businessman frequenting sex parlors, before going home to his wife. There is no (supposed) conflict between the different facets of his life - his visit to the scat joint and then going home for dinner with the missus are perfectly acceptable, and totally separate aspects of his existence. Thus, the Japanese mind is able to indulge in fantasy to levels that the Western mind cannot understand - our mind is more fully integrated, thus we cannot separate apsects of our mind as easily - we may go to a whorehouse but we would feel guilty the next time we go with the wife/gf, etc. +1 reply
