I wish I could just keep plusing this, I haven't seen this movie in like 12 years but it's still what I think of when I hear this song.

No bullshit I worked with this guy who bought the car, he paid $6000 & £1000 to ship it over to Telford, Shropshire & then just let it rot away in his front garden.

That's a fitting end for the car. Fame, and then a slow death in obscurity.

yeah Great lives on forever mediocre fades away fast. The shit they put out these days is CRAP for the most part. Have you ever really sat down and thought about what the lyrics In BR really mean?? " Mamma, just killed a man, put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger now he;s dead" "I see a little sillhouette of a man.." he is talking about aids and what it does to you.. and the people around you..
        • TallyHo | 1 year ago | +2
I'm not 100% but I'm sure Freddie didn't have aids back in 75 As he was in a straight relationship with Mary Austin till 78?

    SONG FACTS:

Freddie Mercury wrote the lyrics, and there has been a lot of speculation as to their meaning. Many of the words appear in the Qur'an. Bismillah is one of these and it literally means "In the name of Allah. The word Scaramouch means A stock character that appears as a boastful coward. Beelzebub is one of the many names given to The Devil.

Mercurys parents were deeply involved in Zoroastrianism, and these Arabic words do have a meaning in that religion. His family grew up in Zanzibar, but was forced out by government upheaval in 1964 and they moved to England. Some of the lyrics could be about leaving his homeland behind. Mercury claimed the lyrics were nothing more than random rhyming nonsense

He always kept quiet about being from Zanzibar and would even put on makeup to pale his complexion in an attempt to hide his ethnicity - in interviews he always demanded he was English! would surprise me if he would intentionally reference his upbringing on purpose?

I liked him when he was with Blue Oyster Cult. "Don't fear the reaper" is a great track.

Wow, I'm astonished even the shit-eater had the balls to neg such an innocuous comment.
  • TallyHo | 1 year ago | +2
He even had a copy of Brian Mays red special! It blows my mind how queen could even conceive the idea of this song, let alone play it! When we finally hang Simon Cowell can this be on in the background?
