Ahh, the war between drivers and cyclists in the UK rages on. I'm on the side of the cyclists, but does anyone else agree the bus driver should have opened the doors first, for splatter bonus?

I'm keeping the bus driver's side. Philip could keep the left side of the road n make the normal traffic flow possible rather than jamming the street.
Most cyclists I meet in the UK are rude and arrogant and have no respect for the Highway code. Most would probably retort, rather fairly that car drivers do not respect them, but it ends up in a circle of lacking respect until a serious road rage incident like this takes place.
I just find the cyclists to be twice as cocky as motorists because they know they can get away with it. No licences, no registrations, often ignored by traffic cops when they break the rules and generally less accountable then a vehicle user.

Glad to see it's the same everywhere... They are a pain in the ass here too, driving in the middle of the road, going through stop signs. The only signal they use is their middle finger.
I know how it is ive got abunch of holyer-than-thou bicycle hippies in my town, always clog the streets refusing to allow cars to pass, blow through stop signs and red lights, never signal turns, and get all pissed and throw rocks and pennies at your car when you almost run them over. They feel that since they have "gone green" that traffic laws dont apply to them
I'm a daily long distance cyclist. I've claimed a few wing mirrors, had 2 fights, and been hit by a car in my time. Road rage is just how I roll these days.
You metal coffin drivers have a tendancy to forget that you are driving something that weighs a ton faster than you could throw a ball. A car is a weapon.
Sorry spinx old boy, but roads were designed for automobile use only - nothing else. Unless there are dedicated lanes for cyclists available, they shouldn't be allowed to be on the road -period.
Where I live there are miles of roads with at least four feet of paved shoulder and both sides for both cyclists and pedestrians but still the majority of cyclists ride the white line and force cars to swerve a bit into oncoming traffic. Fucking useless twats!
Spinx is British or at least lives in the UK. In the UK cyclists must be on the road where a dedicated cycle path is not available. This means they must conform to all traffic laws that can be applied to bikes. Including traffic lights, lane discipline, correct positioning on the road etc.
Most cyclists do not follow the rules of the road and are both a danger and a nuisance to regular traffic and to themselves. That's the reality. They can whine and cry, and chant slogans or whatever they want to do, but there is no room for bikes on roads., there never was any room planned for them when the roads were designed and built.
Years ago i used to get picked up for work in a 7.5ton tipper Renault Commando. Every morning this wire rider, that's a twat who rides a 'racing push bike', would hold us up and be a general pain in the ass. This one morning i get picked up latter than usual, and as we went through this small village we see his bike on the kerb out side the news agent. Guy driving puts his foot to the floor, mounts the kerb and fucking flattens this thing. We found out that the bike was worth over a grand, still piss our selves to this day.
Well i live in San Francisco, and these fuckers dont even want to use their bike-lane, they would prefer to ride in front of you and go 10 fucking M.P.H. I would just run them over, Bikes & Cars is not like Egg & Flour they dont mix.
