But if you could explain how an economy is succesful with our huge debt to foreign countries over a trillion to saudia arabia, billions to UAE, 1.3 trillion to china and china holds in reserves an additional 1.3 trillion of our currency.     O.K. For all of you who think bush is retarted hear this. In 2004 American steel workers were suffering from over seas competition. When he was running for reelection he made a very smart move. He put a tarrif on all steel imported to the country. In reality all this would do is hurt the economy and cause a trade war, but bush had another agenda. He knew that in the eyes of the american steel workers and their families he would be viewed as someone who would fight for them. By doing this he won hundreds of thousands of votes from the steel workers. As soon ans he was elected he removed the tarrif stopping the impending trade war. I don't think bush is the best president, but he deserves more credit than he gets. +1 reply
