You know why the Kitty Geneovese style indifference here in China? Because thay are taught that if you get involved ...YOU can be held responsible for whatever transpired. There's a famous case from a few years back in which a guy went to help someone that had been run over and she wound up suing HIM claiming he ran her over. There have been a few instances like that so these people - who are like lemmings in the first fucking place - seldom if ever get involved. They will walk right by or stand around and stare until there eyes round out, but tthey do NOT get involved and yeah...it's fucked up.

How awful! The poor child survived being run over twice! I hope years from now we see a follow up news story of how this child grew up, and became an advocate for children, or animals or something selfless. That would be an encouraging and poetic testimony to human will and determination.
