Authorities in north China's Shaanxi province forced Feng Jianmei to abort her pregnancy on June 2 because she was unable to pay a 40,000 yuan ($6,270) fine for exceeding China's 'one-child' population control policy. "They gave her the injection on June 2, and the child was stillborn at 3:00 a.m. on the morning of June 4," Deng said. "They gave the injection directly into the child's head.""She didn't agree to this...They grabbed her hand and forced her to sign," he said.

When I was a young man, an old Marine I knew, who had been on Legation duty in Peking in the 1930's, told me many stories about his experiences there. He said that every morning, men with pull-carts would make their rounds picking up, literally off the streets and alleyways, the discarded bodies of infants killed or aborted during the previous night, so that they could be buried in a mass pauper's grave in one of the cemeteries. The Chinese euphemistically referred to drowning an unwanted infant as "bathing the baby."

In my scenario, it is the woman carrying the pregnancy. It is her body. It is her right to do what she wants to her body. Regarding the father: If he so desperately wants the baby then maybe he should make sure the mother wants a baby as well and is mentally and physically able to care for it. Until then, wrap that shit or make sure your girl is on BC. Regarding the baby: as most abortions occur before 16 weeks, the fetus (as it is not yet considered a baby, by law) can not feel pain nor has any self-awareness that we have been able to determine. At this point it is, literally, a parasite to the mother, dependent on her and taking her own resources and using it as its own. Therefore, if the woman determines that she is unfit to be the host, she may determine to remove it.
