  Unfortunately, she is not what would be considered "religious-mad" as you call it. In a lot of religious circles, she would be considered "correct". If you are religious, and subscribe to her particular religion, and believe that by default that the Bible is true, then all of her statements are pretty factual. There are plenty of accounts of people praying for God to smite people directly and indirectly by "showing the unbelievers" as it were. Besides, religion is all about extreme claims

I think her magical explanation of a wrathful god having nother better to do than to cause this is by far a more entertaining concept than reality.
