deleted | 1 year ago | +4If someone damages their tympanic membrane (ear drum) with a cotton bud or whatever and causes it to bleed, that will attract flies which then lay their eggs. Once they hatch into maggots, if there is no dead flesh, they will start eating living tissue, in this case the tympanic membrane, middle ear and probably the innner ear too. That must have been agony. She won't be needing those stereo headphones now. It's actually quite rare as earwax is a natural defence against insects.
