In our city, just three days ago, a pregnant white woman was stabbed to death just seconds before the 9-1-1- police arrived. The police literally arrived as he was making the last few stabs. She was an avid liberal anti-gun activist. Her assailant was her estranged black felon boyfriend whom had been restrained by warrant from harassing her. She preferred to walk on the wild side, and it killed her. GOOD THING she wasn't racist, huh? I'll bet her parents aren't "hating" right now. DOn't let your loved ones come near trash. Period. +1 reply

I use to have a 92F when I lived in Miami, feels good, heavy and solid, I bought it in a gun show in Coconut Grove and took it home same day, when I moved to New York, I have to give it away, it was to difficult to transfer the gun to New York, where you need to re-license, then I got a good deal with the Glock here in NY. reply

K Tim. Sorry I can%u2019t let this slide. %u201CIf nobody had guns there would be no gun crime%u201D. Well, Duh! If there were no mosquitoes there would be no mosquito bites. What a wonderful platitude. But it%u2019s not reality and really is a piss poor argument. Little Horatio Alger-ish quips like that only serve to cloud the issue. Guns exist %u2013 and they are not going to go away. You could try to wish all the guns off the planet at once and it isn%u2019t going to make a damn bit of difference. As long as there is a gun left anywhere an evil person will get his hands on it. So, until you can wave your magic wand and make %u2018em all presto-dissappearo, you still have a problem on your hands that no amount of clever, but meaningless feel-good quips or slogans will solve. Stop wishin%u2019 and start thinkin%u2019. +2 reply

I live in a country where its illegal to own a gun without a license. You can happily shoot a gun with a license for sport if thats what you like to do.. but obviously, you would quickly gain the ire of the constabulary if you didnt have one. We dont have a huge death toll to violent crime involving guns nor do we have the death toll to accidental death to people cleaning or maintaining them.. im not sure what the toll is for the continental America, but im sure its considerable... One of the tag lines for America goes something like this... America, the place where its every mans right to bear arms or arm bears... +1 reply

Feel sorrow for me, my fellow H666'ers, for I will be moving to Australia in two years. Where you cannot own any sort of firearm. Not even to protect yourself. • joythief07 | 9 months ago
Statistics are statistics, man. They don't become information until you give them a context and a purpose. It could be more likely that those who own guns live in areas where the crime rate is higher (which might be a good reason to own a gun) but are still robbed more just because robbery is more prevalent there. But I don't even believe your statistic anyway. +1 reply
    • GrandpaFicket | 9 months ago

  • SuPaFly43218 | 9 months ago
Im not sure where you got the evidence or scientific theory that you will get robbed if you own a gun... What IS a fact is that gun owners are 40x more likely to shoot a family member than they are to shoot someone breaking into their house...but this doesn't mean we shouldn't have the right to own guns - it just means we need to be trained, more careful, and need to keep the guns out of the hands of those who don't know how to use them and those who plan on using them for crime. You know, cars kill people everyday - it doesn't mean we need to outlaw cars. It just means we need to teach people how to drive more carefully...and get people off the street who drive like retards. +4 reply

not too long ago the cashier at the local BP was shot in the chest... he is ok now. The scariest thing about it is that I can throw a rock from my house and hit the BP. needless to say I have a 12 gauge Remington ready so I can protect my home. I have had at least 1 gun in my home all my life, granted my current gun is a shot gun but it's still a gun. I never have needed it, but it has been there just in case. I do live in what is normally a safe community but crime strikes everywhere and you are better off being prepared. Statistically you are more likely to shoot a loved one, and studies suggest that in the situation you wont react quick enough to actually do any good (source is the discovery channel... they did a special on firearm defense), however I have friends who are alive because they had a gun when they needed it. reply

I'm a gun owner, have been since I was 7 years old, and I've never shot another human being accidentally. Here are two precepts in which I firmly believe: 1. The right to own weapons is the right to be free. 2. An armed society is a polite society. +4 reply

Guns, a neccesary tool and deterent for much in society. Our government disarmed Australian citizens, suprisingly quickly, after some wack job in Tasmania went on a rampage. (few theories that he didn't actually do all of the shooting himself) Now the only people that own guns here are Farmers, sports shooters (rightfully so), cops and criminals. Tell me a crim wouldn't think twice about breaking into a house knowing that the occupants were armed. Nice pics! Nice to know there are some right thinking people left in the world. +2 reply

10,000 people die as a resul of a gun shot wound every year in the USA. the media and liverals use that number to try to outlaw GUNS. but what the forgot to tell you or chose not to tell you is that law abaiden citizens use firearms to save their lives 2,000,000 that is right two million times each year to protect themselves from thiefs, violent criminals, etc. You mostly hear bad things about firearms because of the ratings and ratings = money. Guns are only tools and the owner alone should be acountable for the use or missuse of that tool NOT THE TOOL!!!. That been said our right to bear arms was ment to keep the goverment scare of us and to keep all politicians on the "onest" side. So that the goverment would fear to pass a law that would take or limit our rights, that is the way our faunding fathers gain freedom from a tiran goverment( the british) if you let the goverment take away your right to bear arms you make it that much easier for them to take away your other rights left. Self defence is second +4 reply

Amen. I look at it like this... A gun is a tool like any other tool. It is all in how you use it. Now if I were to go out and kill 100 people with a hammer, do you think that new laws restricting the sale and ownership of hammers would be put up? No it wouldn't. But If I go kill 10 people with a gun . . . Just like the 1993 1993 Long Island Railroad mass murder where some dude pulled out his gun and started firing at passengers. He killed six and wounded nineteen. He used Winchester Black Talon ammo. The ammo company was sued because there ammo was used to kill people... Winchester won the suit but still bowed to pressure and sht down the line. You can still get the ammo under the name Ranger SXT. Some say that means Same eXact Thing. Bullets are the same just not coated black +1 reply

I've got to say, I support gun laws here in Australia. I'd like to own my own firearms, but not if it means every dumbass can get one. We have shootings over here, but they are quite rare compared to other countries. What we do have is an abundance of wannabe gangstas. Ethnic groups who don't want to assimilate, bikies, even aussie bogans(our version of rednecks), who all want to prove how tough they are and protect their turf. Just the idea of those retards who wear their hats sideways being able to own a gun is scary. Yes the crim will think twice if he thinks you might have a gun... first he'll think "better wait untill he's not home or asleep", or "better get my own gun". -1 reply

The best way to protect yourself against being shot by a gun is not to have a gun. Unless you're lucky and the bullet hits your gun. The best way is to lobby your politicians to ban them. After which you won't feel like you need one. You may argue "well I'll pull mine first" but will you? You might not be expecting it, they might be faster than you or you might be wandering to the shop in some sweat pants and have left it at home. -1 reply

(Not My Neg) Yeah Cret, if you run around flashing a gun like an idiot you probably will get shot and deserve it too. But let's not forget what gun rights in America are really for. It's not about sport, hunting, or self defense. It's about the common citizen having the tools to defend this country from tyranny whether from without or within. Sadly, I beleive the time to effectively excersize that right has passed. Citizens armed with hunting rifles and handguns cannot stand against jack booted thugs in Cobra Gunships. As long as there are people in uniform who are willing to fire on their countrymen during a civil uprising we're fucked anyway - guns or no guns. +2 reply

When asked if he would consider invading America during World War II, the Emperer of Japan said something to the effectof "Hell Fuck No! There would be a gun behind every blade of grass." paraphrasing here but you see the point of the common citizen owning a firearm for defence of themselves, their family, and their country. reply
