stlmikie | 4 years agothe guys shooting in the indoor range are shooting a rifle called a .577 t-rex. It was used to shoot at tanks. Not to go through the tank armour but to bust the tracks loose and disable it. Quite a large caliber no doubt.

For instance, the guys at the indoor bench rest were firing a .577 T-Rex rifle, which produces a muzzle energy of over 11,000 foot-pounds and has a recoil about 4 times that of a 12-gauge shotgun. The rest of the shooters were just untrained, unsafe dipshits.

The .577 contains a .585 inch diameter 750-grain (49 g) Monolithic Solid Projectile which when fired moves at 2,460 ft/s producing 10,180 foot-pounds force For comparison the .223 Remington/NATO 5.56mm round used in weapons such as the M16 rifle, when using a 77-grain (5.0 g) projectile, moves at 2,750 ft/s producing 1,293 foot-pounds force. In other word thats a BFG...
