the guys shooting in the indoor range are shooting a rifle called a .577 t-rex. It was used to shoot at tanks. Not to go through the tank armour but to bust the tracks loose and disable it. Quite a large caliber no doubt.
In most of the brief vid clips, the recoil victims were attempting to fire weapons that were too powerful for inexperienced shooters to handle. For instance, the guys at the indoor bench rest were firing a .577 T-Rex rifle, which produces a muzzle energy of over 11,000 foot-pounds and has a recoil about 4 times that of a 12-gauge shotgun. The rest of the shooters were just untrained, unsafe dipshits.
Would plus ya if I could CD....I was honestely surprised that anyone recognized the T-Rex. The .577 contains a .585 inch diameter 750-grain (49 g) Monolithic Solid Projectile which when fired moves at 2,460 ft/s producing 10,180 foot-pounds force For comparison the .223 Remington/NATO 5.56mm round used in weapons such as the M16 rifle, when using a 77-grain (5.0 g) projectile, moves at 2,750 ft/s producing 1,293 foot-pounds force. In other word thats a BFG...
