The incident occurred at a McDonald's on West 3rd Street about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. The two 24-year-old women entered the store, placed their order and then began arguing with the cashier The cashier questioned a $50 bill the women gave him. They responded by hurling obscenities at him. The woman then climbs over the counter, sending the cashier running toward the kitchen area. The other woman walks around to join her friend. The cashier then suddenly reappears with what police described as a metal object and repeatedly hits the women. The two women suffered lacerations to their head and face and were taken to a hospital, police said. one had a fractured skull and a broken arm; the other had a deep laceration Authorities identified them as Denise Darbeau and Rachael Edwards, and charged them with menacing, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.

Anybody who pisses and moans, when a cashier needs to take just a moment to check for counterfeit cash, is a bonifide shithead. Most Human Beings realize it's about verification of a piece of paper; not a personal attack on the intentions of the patron. I've managed my family's business for years, and every once in a while, some Sketchball acts indignant because I choose to protect our finances. I tend to refuse any future business with these type of individuals.

TBH, the guy had every right when grabbed to defend himself, e.g. give them a slap and it's all a misdemeanour... but the "object" and the beating... is i'll say a little too much... BUT that in turn is why you shouldn't give people shit... guy like that to have put up with the immediate insults is suprising enough... You never know who or what the person is your starting a fight with... sometimes people got more minerals than you have.. they'll use what the perceive as necessary force.. a knife... a gun... a bloody beating that leaves you in a chair eating from bags for the rest of your life... Sometimes it's worth thinking where your actions could leave you...

When I pay for something with a fifty, and the clerk holds it up to the light, or runs a highlighter over it, my knee-jerk reaction is to grin and wait patiently for the (3seconds) it takes. Not be offended and take it as an insult. I would be thinking- Hell yeah, it's real- I'm the man!
