I hope these pigs get fired. These are the power hungry asshole cops that give good cops a bad name
deleted | 2 years ago | +4
the stupid pig was supposed to ask him for his name and run it before acting. Of all things that fucking pig should be charged with...trespassing should definitely be one of em.
An attorney recently told me that ANYONE is well within their right to film and audio record a police officer while on duty. The only cops that contest this are dirty fucking pigs.
But it's not illegal to stand in someone's yard and video something. Only the person who owns the house can say someone is tresspassing. If it wasn't his house it could have been a friend or whatever. The cop was WAY in the wrong.
Not saying the cop was right.. just simply saying acting the way he did didnt help matters at all.. How many times do we see people getting arrested these days for being smartasses ?? If youre not looking for trouble or doing anything wrong why lie ?? and it is obvious this cop was an ass.. so the two together... got fucked .
That is a good point but then again the officer has no legal right to arrest someone for being a smartass. I am not a fuck the police kind of guy BUT FUCK THAT COP!.
How many times do we see people getting arrested these days for being smartasses ?? Since when is there a law against it? It is abuse of power! If there is no probable cause then they have no right to ask you shit. Never tell them anything that you don't have to. Just because they are police dose not give them the right to go around interrogating anyone they want to. You do not have to answer! Know you rights or loose them!!
Those who sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither!

he didn't lie. he was merely nervous and answered no. but corrected himself not long after. and like justahumanbean pointed out it's not illegal to film from someone else's property. just think what would have happened to Crooks if he didn't have the video.
But he did lie, when the cop asked him if he lives there he said: Nope! And later he was on his propriety!? Just like Angel said, they both are two fuck ups, and they will live in the "world of hurt"

true, but that officer needed to be exposed..
Colling has been involved in two fatal shootings in his 5½ years as a Las Vegas police officer. In 2006, he and four other officers shot Shawn Jacob Collins after the 43-year-old man pulled a gun at an east valley gas station.
In 2009, he confronted a mentally ill 15-year-old Tanner Chamberlain, who was holding a knife in front of his mother and waving it in the direction of officers. Colling shot him in the head.
ONLY if they get a change of venue...to out of Nevada. ALL courts in that state know not to fukk with LV....It generates MOST of the revenue

What a pussy... This video might serve as evidence; but judve will see through his fake cries for help. This guy has no case since he lied in the first place. It makes me happy to zee sue happy faggots getting their asses beat. Mind your own business next time.
sux that there is no longer a poor between the good and flag! absolutely no room for err.

You fucking prick... Goddammit, I accidentally plussed you!

it's people like this that insure our rights are protected. to mind your own business is the words of a coward Philly. you didn't strike me as a coward. a gay felching pedo yes. but not a coward
deleted | 2 years ago
Not a coward... Ive just got better shit to do than film a cop doing his job. The cop wasnt even doing anything at the beginning to warrant being video taped. Its not like he was beating an innocent nigger wirh a prior rao sheet :^\

Crooks had for an hour been recording the scene across the street from his home in the 1700 block of Commanche Circle, near East Desert Inn Road and South Maryland Parkway, where officers had several young burglary suspects handcuffed and sitting on the curb.

Exactly... Thank you for reinforcing my previous comment.

I agree...heres my view. 1)Crooks was asking to get arrested for being a wise ass. The officer just spent some time dealing with the pricks across the street and obviously wasn't in the mood. And if you lie to a cop then resist arrest your going to get roughed up. The cuffs are going on. I did not see no punching or kicking of crooks at all. He wanted a story..he got it. He shouldnt get shit and maybe have more respect for the law. 2) you said the officer shot a guy who pulled a gun on him ? your point is ? I would have shot him to. Valid point on the 15 year old...the officer didnt need a headshot to take out a mentaly ill kid.
deleted | 2 years ago | +2
why do you accept that if you lie to a police officer you are going to get roughed up ? you coward. you are not a slave or a child you shouldn't be told what your allowed to do, by some bully in a uniform.
he is allowed by law to film. the police officer twisted the law. he betrayed the trust that was awarded to him. so he should be punished like me or you would be for attacking an innocent man. you live in a free country you fool.

I just hate a liar...but your right. The cop was being more of a prick and seems to need anger managment. But 1/2 a million for this...naaa. Why should the tax payers pay for what this asshole does. Thats all it hurts in the end. Suspend the guy for 6 months and put him in anger managment class.
suspend the guy??? why??? if you knocked your managers teeth out at work or broke his nose because you had anger management issues and suffered from a severe case of power tripping, would you have been "suspended". I say fire his ass... If assholes like him got fired, police brutality would drop simply because powertripping assholes would realize that there are consequences to their actions. you don't want to burden the taxpayer with the burden of compensation to the victim, but you do want to burden the taxpayer with paying the future salaries and pension of some aggressive ass wipe like this cop? Regarding the 'liar", the cop is the one who lied in the report saying that the victim attacked him. that's a bigger lie.

Nobodies teeth got knocked out and the guy resisted. Sure...there shouldn't have been an arrest in the first place but if you resist..you get brought down. You have to remember..its in LA where nice guys finish last. And once again (many here dont seem to get this) Im not arguing wether the cop lied..Im talking about the lie that got the whole shit started. If the man said...yea..I live here there wouldnt have been a problem at all. Are you saying its OK for people to lie to police, to tease them then play mr I know my rights nya nya nya nya nya like a kidnegardner? And to resist arrest if the cop thinks he has a reason to make an arrest? Thats all im argueing here. OK...lets fire the guy...or make him give the prick 100 bucks every paycheck for a year ...that might make him think. Maybe he is a loose cannon and needs to be on traffic patroll. if you ask me thay are both pricks. Nuff said here. Damn...this no neg shit is going to turn this place into Dr phill
First of all he got his nose broken. Second of all, you don't know whether everything would have been ok had he told the cop he lived there. Third of all, you do have a right to resist arrest if the arrest is unlawful. There is no such a thing as "playing I know my rights"... that's a bullshit argument. The very fact that someone has to remind a police officer that he is breaching one's rights is a shame. We dont live in the soviet USSR and I'd like to believe that we don't live in a police state. Whether the cops like it or not, they are getting paid with tax dollars, and whether they like it or not, they are obligated to observe the laws just like everyone else. Have you noticed how this piece of shit cop refused to talk to the detectives investigating his ass? Who is playing "I know my rights" now? He realized how bad he fucked up, and wants his attorney present, refusing to make any comments, or co-operate with the investigation. Should the detectives investigating his ass decide to beat him up, break his nose and make a false claim that he attacked them first and had to be subdued? I know what you mean about the neg situation btw, we are turning into little dr. phills.
Tresspassing is only a crime if the owner of the property complains of tresspassing. The cop didn't ask if he was a guest on the property of someone else nor did he say anything about tresspassing. Why are you defending this cocksucker anyway. This is a clear case of wrongdoing by the police.

OK..I understand..let me just give the short version of my opinion then. If the man said"Yea, I live here" It would have never happened....thats my major point. You seem like a freedom loving American and I have entered your good points humbely into my brain...thanks for that. But you have to agree...if the man was honest at first it would have never happened. I am not defending the arrogant dickhead cop....just the raw legal situation involved. I have to say this for respectfull arguement sake..I know...Im a fucker sometimes...lol. So if i am in your house while your on vacation and your not there to complain. Its OK? And please dont argue the technicality of inside/outside. Tresspassing is tresspassing and wether im here or not is some suspicious asshole is on my property when Im not here I want his ass removed at least.
deleted | 2 years ago
Orrrr...can you only be charged with Tresspasing if the owner comes home and wants you charged ? Yea...that makes more sense. My bad..I get it now.
In my opinion there should have been no civil suit. I would have been perfectly happy if thepig, sorry, cop, in question were convicted of... hmm... obstruction of justice would seem fitting, no? Or just having the pig ( I use pig to refer to power-tripping, egomaniac bully-cops like this one, not good, honorable and law abiding police officers ) sacked without any of his cushy union benefits or pension. The first is far more likely than the latter.

he merely nervously answered no. but soon corrected himself. the officer acted just like anyone intent on a fight. and used anything he could to attack Crooks. suing them is the only peaceful way to stop police officers from acting above the law.
Some people should not be cops. The power goes right to their heads and they act like assholes. I've had a few run in's with this sort of cop before but never this bad. The guy, while doing nothing wrong, should have turned the damn thing off and went back in the house. Standing there like an idiot preaching about your rights will get you nowhere.
I agree. I've had a few run-ins with jack off cops, but i've also had the distinct joy of dealing with officers who understand and realize that taking a public-service position requires tact and composure. While they are on duty, they are in public view and have very little privacy. Its a shitty job, and the ones who do it well, for a long time, deserve respect. Dipwads like him, deserve a slap and humiliating exposure.

Crooks made headlines in 2002 when he videotaped two Inglewood, Calif. police officers beating a 16-year-old boy. One officer was fired and criminally charged but was not convicted after two trials ended with hung juries. The incident strained race relations in Southern California -- the police officer was white, the teenager black.
it seems like Crooks made it his hobby to expose the bad cops. and I respect him for it.
It may get him $500,000 richer. I didn't see anything racial, but did observe a tiny pricked asshole that got picked on a lot in school and now is a big man with a big gun and a big badge.

Crooks is the victim, Collings is the cop. the racial incident wasn't part of this clip, but a previous incident Crooks filmed.. I was just pointing out that you can stand up for your rights and be heard.

I%u2019d like to see faggots like this shipped over seas and anal raped by a convoy of cockeyed somalian midgets.
Ah, obstruction of justice /obstructing a police officer : the most ludicrous charges ever invented because they encompasses such a wide scale of acts, criminal or otherwise, as to allow anything to be interpretted as being a violation of those laws. While I have no evidence to support my claims, I believe that these laws were written, especially the latter, specifically to aid the police officers' unions and garner future votes for government by their pig cronies.
Couldnt agree more... like if you fart in his presence, that could constitute obstruction of justice... so could rolling your eyes, or looking funny...
