    the mammoth spider or also know as the giant golden orb weaver or nephila is a spider found in Australia , venomous they are not fatal to humans and tend to prey on large insect. +2 reply

      What I found interesting was that a member of the Nephilidae (orb weavers) family grew this large, rather than a member of Theraphosidae (tarantulas), which would have been more common. reply
