Something like a 5.56mm or a 7.62, which tend to be common miltary weapon calibers. (That is by no means to say that all exist in one of those.) off hand I would say they were probably around .50 cal range. Cobra, opinion? +1 reply

• Cobra Dick posted 1 year ago rate it: good poor The .577 T-Rex rifle in the video does not appear to be Magna-Ported, so the recoil even with lower velocity standard loads would be around 190 lbs, as compared to about 30 to 45 lbs for 12 gauge shotgun loads. Frankly, I wouldn't want to try firing that rifle, and I'm not particularly recoil-shy. +2 reply

• Cobra Dick posted 1 year ago rate it: good poor No, Iain, it would be classed as a "stopping" cartridge for large dangerous game, such as rhino, hippo, and elephant. Because of the recoil, it would have no practical military use. Sniping with a .308 or .30-06 is better, and for really long range there's the M107 .50 cal, as Angstrum mentioned above. +1 reply
