A COUPLE risk their toddler’s life by placing her on the edge of London’s Tower Bridge — 30ft above the Thames.

Passers-by watched in horror as the girl teetered on top of the slippery barrier.

An onlooker who handed his shocking photos to The Sun said: “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. She must have been there for two to three minutes.”

The dad of two alerted police as spectators left Tower Bridge after Sunday’s women’s Olympic marathon.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said the couple are unlikely to face charges, adding: “In these situations we offer words of advice.”

It's their child, they can do what they like with it. If they break it they can always make a new one :-)

    Sometimes Darwin must win.

Darwin has won with this little girl, its the rest of you I worry about.

Evolution created a child capable of living life and thinking for itself by using reasoned thought like, 'If i'm going to fall I will go backwards into daddy and not forward into the river...' or even simpler 'Forward, dead. Backward, live.' I've even seen my dog completing these complex tasks which are apparently beyond conception to some of you.

Ever seen a kid walking along the side of a busy road with its parent??? Same Shit.

You people who are saying they shouldn't be parents etc, probably aren't parents, or if you are then you'll be raising kids that have never, and will never, face danger and learn about life, become clueless parentally dependent fuckwits until they get snapped up by religion, drug dealers or gangs aged 13 - 18, or am I wrong?

So putting your kids in life-threatening situations makes you a good parent? Guess that makes me the worst parent ever, and I'll keep it that way.

You say it was a life-threatening situation, weigh up the risks and I don't really see this being outside any other activity that carries inherent risk. The fact she was up there without loosing the plot says quite a lot to me, but then I guess kids can't think for themselves, that's the job of the obsessive parent.

Assuming this were real, any parent that finds nothing wrong with placing their toddler, (who from the looks of this one in question, hasn't been walking that long to begin with) wearing rubber boots, on a wet ledge, with a long drop below, without at LEAST using a hand to hold on to that child is a failure. I know for a fact kids of this age sometimes lose balance for no reason, and have to catch themselves. This isn't even a valid argument.

No responsible parent would put a child,YES A CHILD!!!in that situation. One slip and the child would be gone. Then what would he say? At least she experienced danger?

The Dad looks poised like a cat. Some kids like to climb.
