  Its not the word they hate, it the context of which its used. My baby's mom is black, and I use the word all the time, with her, friends, whoever. I guess they just need to know ya, and understand it means no disrespect. Yet not all except the word so, you have to use good jugdement, and need to know the person well!

    You are wrong Tyler. I never allowed anyone to call me that word. You have been misled and so have your friends out of criticism of their use of the word. Don't use it, it's a play to keep ignorant people looking ignorant. A billion words in the world and we chose the most hateful word in black history. Using it shows we have no grown.

      Tyler! Kidd! It's all fucking ignorance as far as I'm concerned. I'd be lying if I said I didn't use the wiord also but it's like farting..something you do at home, not something you do out in public.     the word 'nigger' has a history that spans over hundreds of years of degenerating the black community. Why some black youth use it today is beyond me. The history of hatred behind that word is so great that when calling someone a 'nigga' or 'nigger' it should always be received as hatred.

    Nigger means ignorant person. Nigga is a term of endearment, for example, "what's up my nigga?". It is also used to denote that a person is male, "That nigga Shawn be trippin', bangin' them chicks without rubbers". I hope your understanding is a little bit better now. The context in which nigga is used is a substitute for friend or dude and is a totally different word.

      Nigger is a racist word for dark people and is a disrespectful pronunciation of Negro. There is no useful connotation that I can see. With that said, if black people want to use it, they have that right. I am white, and I do not.

No other race of people use an ethnic slur as a term of endearment. It's absolutely fucking absurd. believe it or not the late, great comedian Richard Pryor is the one responsible for bringing the word "nigger" to the forefront back in the late 70's and all of those kids that grew up listening to those LPs became comedians on Def Comedy jam and immoratlized the word. EMBARASSING.
