it is a good idea but it would suck for him for a few reasons. 1. you would have to stop and get out of the car to change the controls whenever you got to cool or hot. 2. its not a lady attractor (well it could be but doubtful). 3. he cant use his sunroof anymore. +2 reply

I saw this on another site already. The story behind it was his ac system was totally shot and would have cost him 1500-2000 $ to repair. Now I'm might be alone here, but I wouldn't put that kind of money into a POS car like that. And from the looks of things from the pictures he did not do any permanent modifications to the car so he can still resell it reasonable well when he decides to get a new car reply

Ok lets see if this tinker-head did his homework before he strapped on his tool belt (doubt it). One 6000 BTU 110VAC air conditioner requires an 1800 Watt power inverter to run off a 13.8VDC source. In a car that size, the alternator probably is only a 60 Amp unit, right now we have an insufficient amount of power from the alternator to operate the inverter & A/C not to mention the rest of the car's electrical systems (13.8V x 60A = 828W) even if he rigged a 120Amp alternator under the hood he'd still be short (circuited).
