Fucking moron, it's a bot fly larvae, you have to kill it first so it'll release! The best way is to smother it with vaseline covered with celophane, just takes one day. Or overdose it on nicotene. Yes, take the filter off a smoked cigarette and wring it out with a very small amount of water. Use an eyedropper to feed the larvae the nicotene water extract. It will take the poison like it's nursing, it's weird to see. It dies within a few seconds to a minute. +4 reply

wtf can someone plese tell me how that thing got in there?? reply

It could have gotten in a few ways, that particular one the Dermatobia Hominis can actually burrow into skin or go through the digestive tract, this case would most likely have been caused by burrowing, either way, bot flies are most common in horses and completely repulsive either way, not something I would want in me lol. reply

It could have been much worse. If you visit this link you can see pictures of a botfly larvae being extracted from an eyeball where it had burrowed and fed (in a live person!), not to mention a picture of a larvae in a brain that caused death because it ate their brain tissue: http://www.worsleyschool.net/science/files/bot/fly.html reply

It's not a worm. It's actually a Bot-fly larvae. They usually hitch a ride on mosquitos and when it lands on something (Usually an animal) the larvae hop off, burrow into the skin and stay there until they pupate and are ready to become and adult Bot-fly. It's been known to happen to people but it's very rare when it does occur. reply
