Apparently in 1998, three men were driving home from a bar when their vehicle was hit by a man named Tim Massey. Massey had 11 driving violations, and was going more than 100mph when he slammed into the car carrying Dana Defeo, Terry Batson, and Ed Watson. Batson and Watson were killed, and Defeo survived but with severe brain damage. At the trial, Massey was charged with manslaughter, and sentenced to 5 years in prison. Apparently, after the trial, words were exchanged between Massey and Defeo's families. Accusations that the dead victims had been smoking pot, and unfaithful to their spouses caused a member of Terry Batson's family to punch the accuser in the mouth (who was giving an interview to a news station at the time). Noone was arrested, and no charges were filed. +5 reply
