I just don't see both side being supported equally here. I have no problem with overweight people in general. There are some very intelligent,loving, giving and warm hearted folk amongst them...but we cannot forget that they are over-weight and got there by any number of ways; of which three are laziness, lack of exercise and over eating. It is these aspects of the condition that I find unhealthy...not to mention the damage mentally that comes from personal and external stigmatisation. What I have noticed though, is that as the world gets fatter, the preferences for desired body types has also swung to the chunkier end, which (as a global phenomenon in 1st world countries) cannot be healthy (every seen Wall-e?)...I am just making an observation.

My wife is thin, athletic and healthy, but she is now relegated to the realms of unattractive by the ever growing masses of fatties here in this site and in the world in general. If you are predisposed to getting fat, then don't eat so much, or exercise more...fat is made by converting unused sugars into storable material under the skin. It is a normal function of the body when overeating. You cannot spontaneously manifest fat onto your body..it has to come from somewhere...so don't make excuses....a balloon will remain deflated until you blow air into it...just remember that.
