I've played American Football, Rugby and Football and out of all of them American football is the weakest. Rugby is by far a lot more dangerous as you have no protective gear apart from a cup (and not everyone wears them!) and you are constantly brought to the ground hard, you get teeth knocked out and ribs broken nearly every game. Not to mention the serious injurys you can sustain from the ruck if something goes wrong.
