    That looked like a cyst and possibly even a tumor. Stupid ass should have kept the leakage and put it in a sterile container to have it tested and get a tetanus shot.     Eh, I've seen worse, I work in an emergency room. Actually, that was an abscess, not a zit and they're pretty common, older people get em all the time and they're hereditary. And that was fucking stupid to let those dipshits pop it...it's probably infected as all hell now. Dude needs some serious antibiotics. +2 reply

    I'm pretty sure you don't need anti-biotics for that shit. As for it being a stupid idea for his friends to pop it for him I beg to differ, they seemed to do a very good job popping it. All that guy needs is a bit of alcohol put on that thing to and a bandaid. I've had crap like that, and that's exactly what I did, no infection, and it's gone and you can't even tell it was ever there. -1 reply

      Dipshit, you need antibiotics for anything with pus like that because pus is the product of an infection. And since that would be an abscess, he would be given antibiotics. DUH. The reason I said that it was a stupid idea for his friends to pop it is because it wasn't sterile...but if you want to be a tard and do shit like that, please by all means, have at it. I'll be laughing though when you get tetanus. Oh, and you don't use alcohol on a gaping wound, you only use it to clean INTACT skin PRIOR to poking or cutting it. And yeah, the reason you "got no infection" was because an abscess IS an infection, genius :) +5 reply

    When simply popped in that manner it will heal from the top where the knife was inserted, leaving a cavity, and will cause infection. The proper way is to slice it wide open and stuff it with gauze and let it heal from the inside out. Glad to see at least one other person on this site (humanwreckage) knows what he is talking about. +1 reply

    I'm a pathologist, and that looked like a sebaceous cyst to me. The stuff you saw coming out was most likely--for lack of a better term--fat. It originates from the oil gland at the base of a hair. It can be infected (probably wasn't but most likely will be now that it's been poked by a non-sterile knife), but very rarely does it become a tumor. reply

    First off, this was absolutely gross. Second, they're not rednecks. They're average human beings with little or no medical knowledge that think its an oversized zit. Honestly, before I took my Anatomy & Physiology class in high school, and that were me in a situation like that, I would say, "lance the damn thing. That's the only thing TO do." reply
