If you look at statistics woldwide, Asians are ranked very high when it comes to book smarts. If a teacher tried doing that in America, he would get arrested. Education, where it counts is in university, and all the top ones are in North America and Europe. Look at how many overseas kids with the opportunity go to Harvard and Yale. The statistics are crazy. And these are the same people who get the high end jobs. And at the university level u'd hope people don't get beat up...universities weed out people by failing them out not beating them. But after years of getting beaten up, you don't hardly ever see such koreans dropping out or doing poorly or my favorite.. making excuses such as ."I'm finding myself" in response to their failure at education and life. They seem to be on the ball in general. Don't believe me? Look at how many Asians are in high end grad schools compared to the general american population.
