If supporting gay marriage makes a man gay then cover me in leather and stuff me like a pig

For what it's worth, here's my opinion on gay marriage: I'm 61 years old, I've been married (to women) three times, and they all turned out badly. Every damn time, even though I was older, more educated, and had more life experience than my spouse, she was compelled to try to be my conscience, my financial manager, my censor, my supervisor, and my fucking Warden. That shit didn't fly.... So, if gays want to marry the person they choose, I say let them do it, and good luck to them. Why should gays be denied the "pleasures" and responsibilities of marriage?

1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.

2. Heterosexual marriages are valid becasue they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can’t legally get married because the world needs more children.

3. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if Gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.

5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are property, blacks can’t marry whites, and divorce is illegal.

6. Gay marriage should be decided by people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.

7. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire counrty. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

why do we make such a fuss over people that love each other when we cant bat an eyelid for millions dying of hunger or aids.... l wish the real issues where plastered on time magazine like the dying baby trying to fend off a flock of vultures with her last breath....that should make us think of the bigger picture...*lix*

In 50 years i'll be ashamed to tell my grandkids that people were still being denied rights when I was in my 20's.

8. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

9. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

10. Children can never suceed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

11. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven’t adapted to things like cars or longer lifespans.

12. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a “seperate but equal” institution is always constitutional. Seperate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as seperate marriages for gays and lesbians will.

I say let every homo get married its not my dick or place to say ther wrong because honestly god is the last person to take advice from shits he a dead beat father who populated the world and has been mia for centurys lol

The democrat strategists have got to rein this crap in.. he is going to lose right leaning moderates because this is getting so blown out of proportion.. its a shame, so many other big problems in our country and out of all of those this stupid issue gets coverage like this.. I think it would serve him very well to distance himself from it now that he has stated his position..

It's amazing how hard people are on a president who the first day in office limited pay to senators, made gifts to them illegal, and basically came in knocking heads to badly that he hasn't been allowed to be president since by our crooked congress.

What gets me about these jesus freak, teabaggers is their hypocrisy. In one hand they hold signs telling government to get out of their lives and in the other hand are signs stating ban gay marriage and abortion. Stupid fascist douche bags.

Just seems to me, there are a few more pressing issues that we should tend to first.

The reason why I don't support gay marriage is the same reason I don't support heterosexual marriage, as defined by the state.

Marriage is a religious construct, not a government construct. Government should just get out of the marriage game; leave marriage to churches. If the state wants to get involved in the personal arrangements of two individuals, then any two individuals, whether straight, gay, etc, should have the right to enter into a civil union.
