As ghastly as this seems, I saw shit there on a daily basis that makes this look run of the mill. Maybe if more of this was public, people would understand. I'm not saying war is never justified, but maybe people would at least think twice about it if they had a clue.

The only reason we're not all speaking Japanese is due to all of the men that fought, got wounded, died, and survived the shit pile in the South Pacific. If the Japs had taken the islands in ths SP the US wouldn't have been able to stop them. That area was geographicaly the doorway to the US shores. They would have been able to re-supply, re-fuel, re-group, and recouperate. The US would have been fucked. There was also a huge population of Japs living in the US, specifically in the California Inland Empire ready to fight and take over the US from within. The Japs living in our country knew about Pearl Harbor before it happened. There is documented proof of the correspondence between the US Japs and Jap military. That is why they were rounded up and placed in guarded camps. "Oh those poor people". Fuck them, they were ready to mount a battle from within. I had a total of 24 good years, four active duty (full time) and the rest were National Guard and Reserves. (Similat to British Terrirorials). 1976 and we partied one weekend and the middle weekend of the two week summer camp. By 2001, no partying, serious training and annual training was 10-20a days in the field. My armored cavalry troop changed to Military Police when our tanks were obsolete. I didn't want to drive the 120 miles, so I didn't reenlist, took a nine year break.The carpenters did good work, and the Taliban didn't like girls going to school so they blew them up. No neg for you for expressing your opinion, of course. That's one of the reasons people serve, yo protect that right. Sorry so slow to reply, lost my internet for a few weeks.
