The government is using this war for political gain in upcoming elections, and to make a page for themselves in history, ,not because of any need for the war. Yes what happened in the US was a bad thing, and yes, what is happening in those countries is terrible...but what they need to remember is George Washington's Farewell address, reminding everyone to not allow themselves to be consumed by party spirit, and thinking of the good of the party and not the good of the country, as well as his warning to stay out of the affairs of other countries as much as possible. We put all our concern and interest in other countries, and are run by people who think of the presidency as a prize, or as something to be won, and used to your advantage. UGH I am sorry for my rant...I hate politics, and had to get on my soapbox there, lol reply

But Most( not all) individual know and understand why they sign the papers. We don't do it cause we are forced. We don't do it because of money. I did it because I wanted to say yes..I defended everyones rights to say and do damn near what they want. Others on here who have served will tell you out right..it's not who's running the country we fight for..it's who will be there when we return to hug and kiss us, those people that look up to us for the job we have done and say thanks for doing it where I couldn't...it's for those that can't fight back, or are being oppressed. The government is the one that cheepens and putrifies the fighting..but it's the front line grunts that take the brunt of the fighting, and of the protests. Ask the Vietnam vets..they were hated by all but they did the job anyway. I did my job because I wanted my family safe..I didn't give one rats fuck who was in office.. +1 reply
