Why should a wealthy person have to support everyone else?

I certainly am not a Jolie banner-carrier, but I don't understand the hate for her. She seems to be a big humanitarian, and does it without cameras following and documenting her every move.

If she was trying to fund a project, wouldn't she have instead sold her story to People, Ok, Star, or whatever else gossip mags are out there? She'd have gotten, at the least, tens of thousands. Instead, I think she did an interview for the NY Times or something.

and the problem with that is.....what exactly?
