    So they say, but that's probably for the average person... For someone looking to make gains, make sure their body is getting what they need I'd say it's beneficial.
    Different people will recommend different g of protein per kg of body weight. reply

      I went to a nutritionist and the doctor told me that any person claiming to be able to synthesise more than 35 grams in 4 hours is kidding themselves. It is the human body's limit. One egg only contains six grams, so you need six eggs to get there or 6oz of steak.....any more than that every 4 hours is wasted and if not exercising appropriately, will synthesize as fat. I'll stick to my diet and shorten my training as per your advice and see if it makes a difference. Thanks again bro, catch up later. reply

          yep, I have a lean whey protein isolate that is heavy on BCAA's, and I take a Glycoload before and after to ensure glycogen replenishment and protein to muscle transport and synthesis, and I also take a glut-amine for recovery. reply

        You're a pretty big guy to be fair, an if something works for you, stick to it man! But for someone who hammers their muscles to pure exhaustion and depletion I then think it's needed.

      On and off, always had different goals and am always having them so it's a fuck up on knowing how far I've come etc!
      But the goal... Colt Prattes body if I could!
      I am obsessed with bulking up because I can do it so easily... but then get out of breath walking!

        5 days a week. 2 and half hours each session. I do only one body group a day - Mon - legs, Tues - chest, wed - back, thurs - rest, fri -shoulders, sat - arms. I also bulk up just looking at the weights, but I have only been back at it again since Nov last year...before that there was a 20 year gap :) I am totally addicted to the gym...I feel like one of the Spartans on that movie 300 when I walk out of the gym in the mornings. I am 6 foot flat and now 95 kgs at about 10% body fat. reply

            I have never, ever, done roids an I never shall!
            But dude, you're trying to get bigger? And doing 2 an a half hour sessions is insane.
            My workouts are an hour MAX!

            I'm 5.7/8 an I was 13.5 stone now lost a bit.
            I'll always give MY opinions or advise if you want 'em!

                            My honest, personal opinion... 5 reps is WAY too low for building mass as this will amount to a lot of strength gains rather than bulk/mass gains.
                            When bulking I stick to a high 3500+ calorie diet with a 3/4 set x 8 rep range (When I can hit 8 on the last set I raise the weight the following week) reply

                                LOL! 35g of protein 4-6 hours, I have 40g every meal mate!
                                My shakes have 20-40 grams dependent... High calories but eat clean... rice pasta greens etc.
