Reactance is the combination of capacitance (capacitor) and inductance (coil of wire (eg. transformer)). And is usually expressed mathematically as the sum of a real number and an imaginary number.

How websites make money is knowledge that is publicly available to anyone with an internet connection and the ability to type & read. There are many revenue streams available to a website owner. "Keeping the customer happy" is an old adage that has lost much of its meaning in the internet age.

This thread proves the forums were redundant.

The only thing consistent is change.

Members will either make the transition or they won't. I was active in the forums. I don't like the fact that what I have to say might be negged away on this Main Page. And I don't like the fact that it can be deleted by the person I may be replying to. But, oh well.

Cat has been trying to get this Main Page to be more like the Forums for months. But not many members responded to that request. So wasn't it the members themselves that caused this change to be implemented?

Souder replied to comaTOASTpsycho's comment on When Fans Only Have One Direction

I disagree, guys in these 'boy bands' are talented. Their were chosen by the producer/manager. And he interviewed hundreds of kids. They must be talented or they wouldn't be there.

Also, these guys spend years in voice lessons and dance lessons. Just because they don't spend years learning the guitar or drums doesn't mean they haven't paid dues. They don't pay as many dues as a guy learning the guitar, but that is not their fault....the producer/manager has reached out and plucked them from the masses and molded them to be profitable.

The music industry created the 'boy band'. IMO, Madonna changed things. What used to be a group of musicians playing their songs on the stage (a concert) has become more of a production (flashy costumes, elaborate sets and lighting schemes, choreographed dancing). And from a logistical POV, it is much easier and cheaper to set up a stage for the Eagles to play, than to set up a stage for Madonna to perform. How many dance lessons did Ozzie Ozbourne take? LOL

I noticed the other two vids had no big ba da boom. I could hear music and traffic noise, but no explosion.

speed of sound at 15 degrees C is 340.276 m/sec. The guy was recording for roughly 28 secs prior to the sound....so....

displacement = velocity X time
displacement = 340.276 X 28
displacement = 9527.728 meters

the sound originated at least 9.5 kilometers or 5.9 miles away. ( 1 kilometer = 0.6214 miles ) That was one hell of an explosion.

They get out of the eggs themselves (especially the very first to hatch); dig their way out of the nest; then chirp to get mom's attention. Mom will uncover the nest to help them get out, but she is not dextrous enough to help them get out of the egg. She carries them to the water in her mouth. The mother's skills as a mom will increase their chance of survival, but they would seek water on their own (for instance, if mom were an extra on 'Swamp People' she might already be a handbag). Just like sea turtles do.

Both Blender and GIMP are FREE!

IT WILL NOT BE EASY, but there are many videos on YouTube that will show you how to get started. And it will not cost you anything! And you can make money from home! Serious money if you're good at it.

You don't need a big, expensive, powerful computer, but the more powerful it is the faster it can do final rendering. I have an old school Dell Dimension 2350 (running XP Home) and I use Blender and GIMP almost every day.

But giving a man a coughdrop will relieve his cough.

Lowering CO2 concentration in the atmosphere should reduce the greenhouse effect and allow the temperatures to achieve a more reasonable equilibrium.

And don't forget about all that trapped, frozen methane under the ocean. If the water gets too warm, the methane will thaw and be released to the atmosphere. Methane is a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2. The whole damn thing could be a huge runaway warming trend that will leave the Earth uninhabitable for us meek, arrogant, ignorant, tranny-lovin' sapiens.
