You misunderstood me, I think.

- at 7PM, after-school sports related activities are winding down - at least in this part of the US. Teens are either in or around school doing school related stuff or at home.

- I didn't say parents made Zimmerman shoot Trayvon. Trayvon's parents should have done a better job with him! I do NOT believe in "being raised by a village!" Trayvon's parents are or were responsible for him up to the age of 18 (which he was close to).

- you're right I can't blame a race for the actions of a few BUT I CAN blame them for their silence and acquiescence! Things will change when gangsterism and "thugging" become socially UNACCEPTABLE in black society. In the mean time, while violence veiled as artistic and cultural creation is tolerated or even embraced as a necessary form of self-expression NOTHING will change. Things will only get worse.

Just a quick note,not sure when you mention him and school,but the shooting took place shortly after 7pm...His parents or peers didn't make Zimmerman shoot Trayvon..A measured distance of 70 yards from his body to his doorstep...I would tell my kids not to allow strangers to walk up on them in the dark either,most parents would...The housing community is almost 50% white..You can't blame an entire race for the actions of others who share the same skin color...
