i guess you miss the jist of my comment, or maybe not. i've learned to live my life as uncomplicated as possible. i'm nearly 60 and i got a cwp when i turned 21 so i would comply with the law while carrying. i've been in a handful of incidents while carrying and have learned what is best for me to do to keep the bs to a minimum. personal and legal consequences involving a weapons charge can be life changing. i don't need to act like a badass to be one...

in florida you have no duty to disclose. if you feel the need to tell a cop you have a gun, thats fine. i on the other hand i will not disclose unless asked. you might as well tell him you have two dimes and a penny in your pocket while your at it, because thats also legal.

not all states require you to disclose the fact you are carrying. the cop may have been right to react the way he did. it really depends on what state this happened in. in michigan if you have your cpl you must disclose when your carrying. on the other hand if you are open carrying without cpl you dont even have to present identification unless you are doing something illegal.
