know what i do when i want "fast foods " ?
take a packet of pasta , pot of water to boil (add salt ) in a frying pan - add olive oil ,chilli and then garlic (careful not to burn garlic )
I make 100 grams per person (spaghetti works best for me ) 10 minutes of boiling pasta - strain (take out of water - straight into frying pan (heat off ) just to stir well - straight to plate - add extra olive oil /cheese (Pecorino or Parmigiano ) and eat while hot
that is fast foods and healthy and no meats so win win :-)

locally to go to get a KFC meal (burger or something ) or at Steers /Mac Donald's (fast food outlets ) the price is well over the price of the raw product in a store - I get a nice piece of meat (steak/rump etc) or an whole chicken - cook it at home (you may calculate cooking expenses and soaps to wash up - i still end up spending less than at a LOCAL fast food outlet

What gets me , I do not mean just mccydees , a lot of these fast food outlets seem to bloom ( go super well) in the lower income areas. Locally I have found all these fast foods to be far from low cost , I can eat much more (heathier and better ) when going into a store and cooking the meal myself
