 | Genetic replied to maclean1690's comment on Sentencing in the uk I don't think things have gotten dramatically worse it's just with the internet, these stories are spread easier. It's the same as things like natural disasters; when you look at how often they've occured there are way more now than there were 50 years ago but that's because we now can communicate quickly over great distances. The other thing is that 50 years ago the press was far less interested in sensationalising everything and printing every gory detail because there was a sense of respect to the victim's family. | 2 days ago | |
