You're right, I've never been in a combat scenario personally, and I'm thankful for that. However it doesn't take a genius to see that war is both beautiful and terrifying. But of course that's not the sort of thing that people like to share, they only like to bring up all of the atrocities committed, the blood and gore. Take picture #11 for example...what do you see? I see young men sharing camaraderie. Enjoying the simple pleasures in life, forgetting what it is they have done, or have yet to do. This...is a beautiful moment. These people are human beings first, and soldiers second. Try looking at things from beyond your jaded lens sometime.

It's the moments between the chaos and realize that the guy next to you will be your friend for life cuz you just saved hiss ass, that's the things we don't see back here. People are different, they act funny, they have no sens of right and wrong, no honor, nothing but a bitchy attitude, I'd like to drop those guys into Iraq in a hot suburb and let them try to get out, they would piss themselves.
