Finally a rap song I can understand the words to and enjoy.

I don't think most people realize this is a satire. It's an exaggeration of the "quality" of modern hip hop. Ironically they are apparently protesting the fact that modern hip hop is encouraging and promoting black people to act ignorant. It's bittersweet, I like seeing people in the industry promoting more intelligent music, just sucks they are wasting this PSA on Hip Hop which is sort of unintelligent by design. I think in the end it's just rich people being bored and I hate they have enough time on their hands to do this, while I barely find time to post a comment on it.

I enjoyed reading all of these comments much more then the vid. From the ignorant comments about wanting hip hop to die, to the brief discorse on the collective intelligence of this community, this was a great conversation to follow. But when it all is said and done, I have to agree with GilCoven, it is all a matter of who makes money and who does not. Hip hop, like rock, country or anything else, is what it is because people buy it. I remember when rap was still being called rock. When rap artist were actually talking about and saying things taht made sense, that people cold relate to and look up to. But like everything else in America, a good idea turned into a profitable industry, dictated by the buying public. rap will never die. It is far too versitile of a style. And I hope that the hip hop fade does die down ( I am very tired of hearing white boys call each other niggers and talking with slang because they think it is cool) but the industry is not to blame, the public who pays for it is
